We live in a society where certain careers, titles, professions are perceived as men’s business. A society where a young lady is only taken as a secretary, girlfriend, blogger, or makeup artists but beyond these great professions the rest are job titles for men. And for this reason some girls are convinced that they can’t stand up and work hard to become an engineer, constructor, CEO, partner in a law firm, Judge or Jury in a court. All the job professions that once were believed to be male jobs can be done by young girls and become just as good as men and even better, matter of fact become the best at it. A top leader in the parliament in one of African Countries was a woman and she admitted that she most people would walk up into her office and assume she was the secretary and look for that ‘’INVISIBLE MAN” because the position was too high for a woman to hold. One philosopher once said the best of talents are hidden in girls and if they are well nurtured, focused practiced they will soon take over the world.
Hold you’re Crown; as a young girl, we have dreams, visions, role models and ideas, some seem silly, impossible to achieve or even hold the title men’s professions. These are definitions of who you will become in the future , your dreams and visions are your crowns, don’t let them go, however impossible they may look , your future is a castle and you hold the crown to it keep your head high , and the only time you get to squeeze it is when your fixing it.
Take yourself seriously; invest more time, energy and power in creating a better future for yourself. Work begins with yourself, attitude, emotions, and moods. The best female entrepreneurs, surgeons, scientists, farmers had to first work on their inner selves before ringing it out to their work places. Set yourself standards and rules. If cutting few friends, luxurious moments, and fun times just to create a strong bio for yourself the do it. Most of interviews aren’t looking for education qualifications they are looking for character, efficiency, commitment and attitude and with the help of social media platforms it only takes 10 min for someone to know about you. So invest in that. 1 simple rule in life, is set your priorities first, your career comes before anything that isn’t worth losing it, oh and of course working on yourself adds credit to your resume and letter of recommendation from your boss.
Grow a thick skin; taking the road of
fulfilling your dreams to become the invisible man is not going to be easy, you
will come across obstacles, negativity, doubts, failures and hatred. Grow a
thick skin, filter out all the negativity that are standing in your way and
be bold enough to face your fears and if failure comes your way darling don't let it stop you. As mater of fact Fail your way to success ,embrace your problems as opportunities and grow through them. Learn to take constructive criticisms and each mistake you make shouldn't stop you from achieving your goals. One Radio presenter said "when i started presenting my show was a complete failure, i didn't have any rhythm ,speaking skills and i sucked at it, i listened to myself one day and i thought if i was the boss i would fire myself instantly, because of my lousy voice and poor radio skills i made the radio loose competitions and even large amount of listeners, she said submitted my resignation letter six times in six months, each month i sent the HR one letter and each month my boss denied the requests, finally after six months he got tired of my letters called me in the office and gave me a talk that change my life. He said i hired you because i saw a talent and i know you can become the best presenter, grow a thick skin and stop listening to the negative voices'' Long story short today that girl is among the best presenters in the country, because she made the decision to grow a thick skin.
